#1 Locate the words ‘Current account’ on the IDFC Bank homepage. Click on it to find a current account opening form and a current account eligibility calculator.
#2 Once you have found your account eligibility, proceed to fill out the account opening form. Input the details asked: Name, Designation, City of operation, Product you wish to apply for (Select ‘Current Account’), Email ID, and Mobile number.
#3 The information in the account opening form is now processed and the bank confirms your application. The bank sends an email and SMS alert to confirm the application, and an OTP on your phone to input in the space provided on the web page.
#4 After you send the OTP, the bank sends you a detailed account opening form on your email. Fill it up and attach the (self-attested) supporting documents. After uploading the form and documents as directed, the bank sends you a token number to track your application.
#5 Within a few days, the bank verifies the application and checks your documents. It now approves the current account online opening request. After this, the bank sends a welcome kit to your postal address. You can now operate the current account.
